RGidron:
I made a mistake and added a bunch of activity types that I don't need. I can see in settings that I am able to control color preferences for displaying activity types in reports etc.. however is there a way I can delete activity types? It"s cluttering my log entry form.

Thanks,
--Ron

You can emerge/fuse them with another type.
Then it goes away

Create a new user and start over.

As far as I know, you have to delete every activity (or edit the log) that has that type associated with it. Only when it's not associated with any entries can an activity-type be deleted.

It would be nice if there were more all-clear functions, e.g. I'd like to delete all entries before X date.

I wish I could do that with my email (for particular addresses). I have >18,000 items in my 'sent' folder dating back to 2007 but then I have found handy emails sometimes from years back when I've needed them.

As Toni mentioned, the easy way to get rid of a type A (but not the individual activities) is to merge it into type B. All entries of A become B and type A is deleted. You can do this from your activity types page.

Sorry, off topic.
@tRicky, download Thunderbird email client, log into your mail server via IMAP, sort your mail folder according to address, select all of that address, delete. Or just filter/search and delete. If your mail provider doesn't have IMAP, create new user, start over.

Option B is being thrown at me by many people at the moment, people who can't send me emails (or who are just upset that I have a Hotmail account in the first place).

Yes, hotmail is indeed, so yesterday. Its synonymous with hacked accounts that generate spam. AFAIK, I don't think Hotmail even allows for IMAP access.

5 seconds of googling says you don't know very far.

Well, then all hail M$, they have gone up in the world and gotten with the program, because it used to not be the case. Good for them!
