OK, so Matej is taking some nice big loops in the holding pen.
And now he's doing some strides.
Girls are live now. Michael is on the way to #3
Don't have a great connection but am following as best I can. Thanks for all the links.
Seems like the buildings might be messing a bit with the accuracy of the signal...
Amanda is about to start.
They just talked about Michael, but I have no idea what they said.
Oh, Michael having trouble in #8...
I don't undersatnd what is happening. They seem to be going to a control not on the map or something.
Looks like the wrong courses are shown on the maps. The GPS traces are also a bit jittery for me.
Yeah, in fact, the men's and women's maps might have been switched, at least in the area of 8-9-10
Emma Waddington in first place at intermediate control in D18E, and Tyra tied for 5th out of 19 there.
Matej finished well. It will be interesting to see how our new OUSA team member Morten does today.
Will has 14 seconds on Matej at the 1km control.
Austin & Will getting ready to finish
Emma Waddington IN THE LEAD at the finish
With Tyra 4th of 18 finishers so far.
OK, Izzy is in 4th of 31 runners at 1km. A minute behind Emma and 6 seconds ahead of Tyra.
Morten 2 sec faster than Will at 1km.
Michael was injured a couple weeks ago; hope that it is getting better and he is taking good care of it.
Evalin back to DSQ? And Isabel reported as DSQ but with such a good time. Wonder what happened.
Morten done, 22s faster than Will.
Fossum IF is rocking H20E
Emma still maintaining a fairly commanding lead, 24s over 2nd place.
Cristina is at the finish and says Isabel was missing one punch.
I think they're using a different punching technology than we usually use.
Yes, it is Touch Free. Seems to have also tripped Evalin up.
Oh, and that's what will be used at JWOC...
14 runners left, and Emma still holding onto first place by 9 seconds.
Slipped into second place, by 6 seconds; 11 runners left.
Whoa, the fast runners are coming in now - Halden SK has a runner a full minute faster.
Well, that was fun! Congratulations all round, and particularly to Emma & Tyra. Izzy, looks like you'll have fun racing with Tyra at JWOC.
Thanks for the play by play Barb :)
It's touchfree Emit today, not SportIdent, according to Matej's blog.
Julia finished 16th in D16.
And JWOC will be touchfere Emit too per
jwoc2015.org
Izzy and I apparently didn't wave our touch free emits close enough, though I was checking for flashes each time, I must have not checked that one. Izzy said she didn't see the flash on hers but risked it and didn't wave it again.
At radio control, Emma Waddington in 2nd by 1 second.
