What's the snow situation at Ridley and Tyler for this weekend after this most recent storm?
It's snowing at the moment and sticking to the ground but it's melting on roads and walkways for the most part. We'll have to wait to see when/if it turns to rain this afternoon. Bring lots of socks!
Also, there was no snow before. There may be some slushy remnants tomorrow so count on wet feet.
Will the trail O be affected?
A good 5 inches on the ground now, and still coming down. Control and trail visibility is excellent, root and rock visibility is poor. Wear your heavy gaiters for some classic Mid-Atlantic greenbriar bashing!
Remember it is going to be in the 50s tomorrow, so conditions will be spectacular.
do warm temps melt the greenbriar?
Sounds like a great time.
@hm4... did you clear a path for me on blue?
With early start times, there will surely be some snow and slush hanging around. Several vehicles could not make it up the hill to the model area. The park should be applauded - they had at least 3 plows continuously working the roads.
Tracks: I saw deer, rabbit, squirrel, more deer, Speedy, j-man, and what looked like 4" long clogs or maybe galoshes. It's pretty out there!
I'll be happy if I just manage to arrive before it starts. It's been one of those days.
