Has anyone found a good (fine point, easy to use; robust) stylus for mapping in the field using OOMapper on an Android tablet? I have seen various suggestions on-line in this and other venues (including some vague comments in Open Orienteering) but no obvious consensus at this point.
Maybe the jury is still out, or the technology is still evolving too quickly. I just don't want to order a $100 tool and find that it is not suitable/compatible....

I'm using a Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. No extensive mapping with it yet, but the couple times out in the woods it's worked real nice. But the Note 3 has a Wacom digitizer and the feel is made specifically for the Note series devices, won't work on generic android with standard capacitive screen if I recall. I think I paid $25 @ Best Buy for it.

I just use a cheap stylus that doesn't have a fine point and draw on the "scribble" template. It works fine for using the scribble template but wouldn't work well if I were trying to draft in the forest.

Thanks; maybe the S-pen technology will be implemented soon on the less expensive Samsung tablets, as well as on the Note series (where it seems to be popular).
Then again, I'm not sure if OO Mapper runs on the Note OS.
So many pieces that have yet to come together... ;-)
