This year's Snowshoe Raid Adventure Run is gonna be big! Big powder, big climbs (hey the Niagara Escarpment cuts through the map) and large participation numbers! Over 105 teams have signed up already and if we can get another dozen teams to sign up by January 15th (midnight) for the January 17th race at Blue Mountain Resort it will be our biggest Snowshoe Raid ever. Bob Miller has designed a challenging course in an area never used before and the recent cold weather and Georgian Bay Snow Squalls have made the race location into a winter wonderland of powder snow.

This race has been voted best snowshoe race in eastern Canada the last two years by Get Out There magazine. Participants love the challenges set by Canada's top adventure racer Bob Miller, the uniqueness of the race, and the high quality race atmosphere you can expect with DontGetLost Adventure Running. Because of this the Snowshoe Raid attracts newbies and elite racers alike. Three (and likely soon four) former Nor-Am elite men's orienteering champions are on teams. Add in some very strong male, coed, female and masters adventure racing teams and trail runners and we have the strongest field ever at a SSR. Join us at Blue Mountain on January 17th. Registration closes on January 15th.

OK its official! We now have 4 former Nor-Am elite men's champions racing this year's Snowshoe Raid. The oldest and wisest of those former champions is Mark Adams. He is teaming up with adventure racing/trail running/cycling/obstacle racing uber athlete Ryan Atkins. Ryan is the reigning two-time champion of the World's Toughest Mudder and has also won the SSR the last two years. That team will be hard to beat!!

With the WTM champion in the mix, is it possible to get this race covered by any of the OCR websites or magazines?
