The Junior Team Executive Steering Committee (JTESC) is excited to announce the US Junior National Team (JNT) -- the new name for the Junior Standing Team -- for 2015! These young athletes will represent the USA at international competitions, and train at a high level for orienteering.
They have each committed to outlining and maintaining a regular training program (under the guidance of US Junior Team Coach Erin Schirm), recording their training, attending the JWOC Selection Races in March, maintaining an OUSA ranking, and attending two national training camps. They are also committed to giving back to their clubs in the form of orienteering education for beginners and course reviews for the younger juniors.
Congratulations to all!

Note: There are still open spots on both the male and female squads, and JTESC will be accepting applications for the 2015 JNT until June 15, 2015. We encourage clubs to identify promising young women and young men, who might be interested in being on the Team and having the US Junior Team Coach support their training. Applications are available on the
OUSA website - JNT page (scroll down). Should the team be filled before June 15th, we would encourage all athletes still interested to consider applying for the 2016 JNT.
We are looking forward to an exciting new year with lots of new opportunities for USA juniors!
