Swampfox annually dispatches Wyoming attack badgers to future WOC venues. I found the key clue in the Basra article, "He said he saw one of the animals "eat a cow" recently." Clearly, these badgers miss the bison they grew up on. Finding the wild dog packs of Ukraine unpalatable, they veered south and settled for some tasty Iraqi cows.
