| Almost ran over some person lying on the side of the path around a bend with their bike also lying on the path. Not sure what the problem was but I was more focused on not crashing into them than finding out what was the matter. |

| Rode via the hospital to visit my grandmother who had a stroke last week. She does not look good, poor thing. |

| Went to see a Guy about a boat to use in the Blackwood relay. Picked up one that is slightly faster than my tub. Took it down to the river and paddled from Sandy Beach to Whiteman Bridge and return. Got burnt. Out sticked a stick poking out of the river that tried to rupture my stomach - my skin is tougher apparently.
The paddle was a bit further than I planned for and my arms got tired after about two and a half hours so I reckon I need a bit more training before XPD. Time to sweet talk my boss into letting me go home early mid-week. |

| I put this in just to annoy Evo. Rode the MTB to the bike shop to get some running repairs and to get a new bike computer. |

| Run home from the bike shop. I used Tooms' 10% rule on this one - run 10% of what I ran last weekend. Next weekend I might run 300m.
Got pulled up by a security guard asking if I was okay since I was running with my bike helmet in one hand. |

| Rode from home to JFNP and around there for a bit. Made the mistake of trying to follow the Eagle Trail through some rubbish, overgrown single track and ended up busting up my rear disk brake. Spent about a half hour trying to fix the stupid thing. Managed to cobble something together but it spent most of the rest of the ride squealing in protest.
Rode the Heritage Trail to my sister's place in Sawyers Valley where I stopped for a nice spaghetti lunch, before embarking on the rest of the trip. I hadn't gone three kilometres (I assume it was anyway) before I realised my bike computer was no longer on my handlebars. Curse. Retrace route back to sister's place; don't find it. Curse again. Get disgruntled. Decide to give up on ride and go home. Decide again that that is stupid so go back to original plan. Unhappy that I've just lost $90 or so. Who'd have thought that I could jump, bump and generally smash my bike around John Forrest and the place that I end up losing my bike computer is on the easy heritage trail. Seriously, I've found my bike computer after 'losing' it on: busy street corner in Subiaco (admittedly it was night-time); in bush in JFNP on a prior occasion, and yet the place I lose it today is on the most open, straightforward MTB track in WA. Stupid.
Rode on to Mundaring and hooked up with the Mundaring Loop MTB track. Rode that for a few kilometres before coming across a sign declaring that the track is closed due to poor trail condition, but that the Munda Biddi Track is still open. Well pardon me for sounding sensible but wouldn't the best place for this sign be at Sculpture Park in Mundaring where the two tracks meet rather than one third of the way around and right at the bottom of the steep, nasty hill that I'd just ridden down? Ignored the sign and kept riding. Found no evidence of poor trail conditions.
Hooked up with the Munda Biddi again, then the Kalamunda Circuit, Little Oven Circuit, back onto Kalamunda Circuit, which I promptly lost (apparently it is easier to follow in the dark) and then out along the Bib Track and the backwoods of Kalamunda and home.
Conditions weren't too horrible but it was mightily windy and I tried to ride up "The Elevator" at the bottom of Jorgenson Park but the mud halted my efforts pretty early. Try again in summer. |

| To work via the physio. Passed someone on a bike going the other way who recognised me but I was more intent on avoiding the police car parked on the path and riding into the killer headwind to notice who it was. Shame on me :-( |
