planned a course across Clod Hall Moor from the south east corner, map printed in greyscale so I really had to rely on compass and distance work, it was hot and grass was high, the marshes wet, and it was a real struggle, but ...

something's not right, from about a third of the way around (2.5km) had to stop at each control, shortness of breath, toward the end chest got tight, yet I feel fine the rest of the time

Hill intervals on a rough path: 45 paces up, 30 paces down, two sets with 2.5 mins rest between, roughly 110m with 10m climb

very humid, but shouldn't have been as hard as it was

intended to do a terrain run for 45mins or so but felt so rough setting out decided to make it more of a fartlek session, mixing approximately 7mins on terrain with 7mins easy on trods and trails, had to stop at the end of the terrain sessions
