Note

I forgot what I did today (writing this the next day) except that I generally know that I went biking around town, then skied, and then ran some, and that the weather was quite nice before noon, and that at some point it went overcast but still mild.

It was funny that when I was wheeling my bike out, I was in a t-shirt and shorts, and in the sun it felt really mild. But by the time I came back out and actually started riding--and not that much time elapsed--I realized after 15 minutes or so that it didn't feel so mild anymore. I was paying so much attention that I hadn't even noticed the sun had disappeared behind clouds and some wind had come up. It was still mild, even so.

I do also know that it was nice from another standpoint, which is--and I think I have this right--that Friday is/was the day that at least locally the daylight portion of the day starts getting longer at both ends. So that's a pretty good day unless, you know, you're something like a vampire or one of those little jumping meadow mice or something like that.
