skiing 2:00 [3] +750m

Ski-rando up a thinly-covered closed piste to the top of the first téléphérique in La Clusaz, took off my boots to let my balls relax, then went up another twenty-thirty minutes on proper (wet) snow, before removing the skins and skiing down to the téléphérique, which we took back down. The couple of minutes downhill worked the quads. Only fell once.

running 31:00 [3]

To Dunmore East and back.

Beautiful sunny day after yesterday's drear. Walked Tramore afterwards, even it was beautiful with the tide far out.

trail run 2:00:00 [2] 13.6 km (8:49 / km) +759m 6:54 / km

Up Mangerton around the Devil's Punchbowl and back.

The weather was interesting. Calm and clear at the bottom, halfway up the (head)wind started blowing, then it became wind and cloud, then up the lip it became a tailwind, which was welcome, until the top when it changed back and tried blowing us down the cliffs. On top we could see blue sky above, the cloud was that thin, but only on the way down did things start to clear and we saw the lake for the first time.

Gave everyone a minute's headstart as I waited for satellites and took a photo. Eventually caught Eibhlin, but had Alison a safe distance ahead until a bit after it got bitter. ColmM and Roar waited for us and we all trotted up the rest together. Legs started to feel like jelly towards the end of the descent, must have been hard work.

Another beautiful session.
