trail run 1:20:00 [3] 4.97 km (16:05 / km) +850m 8:40 / km

bus to Veyrier, walked to quarry, jogged and climbed up Mont Salève. Messed around a bit on top, had a tasty lemonade, took the cable car back down.

The 2nd km had 40% climb!

Note

A mathematical physicist in Geneva knew that a dentist had won Sierre Zinal last year. Can't be that bad a place.

Note

Made it to Geneva, and will again.

Note

Survived two weeks of orienteering, and finished today with the best run of the trip.

Currently sitting in a Brauhaus in Villach where waiters wear lederhosen and the beer is local. The old town has lots of cute passages, but not quite amazing sprint terrain. This region could have been Slovene. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carinthian_Plebiscite

Awaiting a midnight train to Geneva, via Zurich.

Better, still room...

I told myself this was easy and fun, and it was. Winner was about 46 or 47.

Incredible terrain. Two mistakes of note plus one route choice, but mostly competent.

OOcup 3

Not too bad considering the carousing the night before. This race was in Letus(h), the site of my famous victory over Mr Pinker in 2007 (?).

Boris kicked ass today, taking advantage of the state of the Irish.

Swim in the Savinj after, and then tasty ice-cream in Mozirje, followed by super-tasty ice-cream in Mozirje, then spectating log-rafting and chainsaw sculpting... life is tough ;)
