Am I sick or is my throat being attacked by allergies?

A fine weekend of orienteering in store, with night-o Friday, classic Sat, sprint Sunday, just an hour away.
Head felt a little irritated after cycling yesterday, then throat got itchy as today progressed. I hoped it was allergies, but that seems not to be the case.
Drove up into the Jura, by the time I got there I had decided not to race, switched courses down to medium and went for a jog/walk.
Instead of staying up there for the weekend, I made it home by 12.30, parked illegally and went to bed.
