swimming (Open Water) 50:00 [2] 2.5 km (20:00 / km)

Swim with the tri club. The hardcore people went and did the length of St Mary's loch - 5km! And one did it twice - ridiculous!
The group I was in just did a loop that was about 1.2km, and then I did it twice :) Really good, just wetsuit really really rubbed on my neck so quite sore now - and got quite cold by the end (much colder than the Lakes).

But really fun, and really fun BBQ after.

Hot power yoga!

Really really good, learnt some new poses/variations of ones I already knew and was nice and challenging :) Enjoyed it so much more than the others I've done this week! Wish they had it in Peebles :(

Morning jog as the weather was beaut and I wanted to try out my foot - was totally fine! Wahoo :) actually it felt very slightly sore before, and the run made it feel majorly better.
Also a great little 5km route from the house in the woods by the river - so fun.
But going to keep trying to concrentrate on not over-doing anything this winter, esspecially making sure I rest enough between racing/hard running.

Tried another yoga class (basically trying them ALL this week) - but could only go to the beginners as was busy in the afternoon... very beginner-y and slow, but might try the other next week, maybe. Didn't feel very energised for the rest of the day!

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [3]

Went up to the gym to check it out and they said I could just use the gym then and buy membership later - so just did a few squats and random exercises - which didn't go well as legs felt totally dead just from squats on a low weight and even though I was well warmed up. Maybe just not used to them any more... anyway they're gonna hurt tomorrow. Poo.

Technically the best yoga I've found yet - however totally was NOT in the right frame of mind for this, think I've hit a yoga wall this week, so really didn't enjoy it in the end even though I think it would be a good class if I felt in the right mood. However did loosen off my legs from the gym, so that's good.

Gave the running a miss as foot didn't feel too good and went to a very interesting yoga class instead. Very very spiritual and quite slow moving and relaxed, but some good bits of core and it was good in that it focused a lot on the breathing which is probably a good thing. However didn't feel that stretched out, and spent a lot of the time lying on the floor.

Joined in the triathlons club training - running from 7-8, then an hours swim until 9!
Really really good, and fun and nice people... but realised after the swim that at some point I tweeked something in my right ankle - kind of felt like the tendon on the opposite side to what I've had before was complaining. Not good, so going to be very wary for the rest of the week.
Legs felt really dead on the sprints, and think I've definitely done too much hard running lately. Maybe a week of just yoga and rolling and stretching is needed in order to avoid disaster and be ok for Helvellyn.

Not exactly sure what happened as was very busy and chaotic - lengths of drills, different stuff, then different amounts of lengths at different reps etc etc at different speeds. Good!
