Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Orienteering race (Scottish 6 Day) 1:33:58 [3] **** +200m
28c

Actual course: 8.125km, 165m
Hated it unfortunately, just wanted to run. Not feeling a fan of orienteering, and definitely NOT a fan of this area. Not runnable, masses of flies, horrible! Hope for better tomorrow.

Running race (Rydal Round) 1:58:43 [4] 16.18 km (7:20 / km) +940m 5:41 / km

Great race! As the race, not me, not feeling very fresh at all, still tired from my bike ride/other runs. So felt like a lot of hard work and like I wasn't moving that fast really/not full on racing... but really happy to have got under 2 hours as that's what I had hoped really :)
Would love to go back and do it again when I'm fitter and more rested and have a proper go at it!
But great day and perfect weather for it really. Wasn't THAT sunny but somehow have slight sunburn on my face so have a buff mark across my forehead... great look.

Also bashed the inside of my right foot on a rock and have a nasty bruise, but no pain no gain I guess!

Cycling 4:05:00 [3] 44.0 mi (5:34 / mi) +800m 5:16 / mi

(70.85km)

Absolutely exhausted! Just thought I would take the bike for a little reunion spin, so found this 40 mile-ish route that went around Skiddaw. GREAT route to do and all on really quiet nice roads until the end.
BUT thought 40 miles would be easy peasy, because that was nothing when I did Pedal to Prague, but NO, not in the Lakes! Hills hills hills. In fact, not even that many hills but just seemed to take forever, it absolutely poured with rain as well.
I did really enjoy it though, but hadn't really planned on feeling this exhausted at all... was just meant to be a quick wizz around...
But whatever I'm making chocolate cake so sure that will soon sort me out. :) :)

Running tempo 37:00 [4] 6.9 km (5:22 / km) +150m 4:50 / km

AMAZING run! (Normal route)
Thick drizzle + slight wind + pinch of tempo = FUN FUN FUN!
Saying that I felt really sick going up the hill... but it went away and I had a blast, nice sprint at the end to get under 37 minutes (it was 36:59 when I passed the post).
Fun bike ride tomorrow to give running a rest so I'm fresh for the Rydal Round on Thursday, excited!
:)
