Running 40:33 [3] 6.66 km (6:05 / km) +100m 5:40 / km

Revision break - couldn't concentrate sitting down any longer so had to get out! Feel much better, need to crack on!

Strength and Conditioning 7:00 [3]

Was playing the 'I'm an Alobatross' song in a revision break and realised it was the perfect beat for random exercises, so just started doing them and repeated the song 3 times - fun!
Random selection: press ups, tricep dips, v bends, planks, lunges, squates, sit ups etc.

Calves are pretty tight today - might do some stretching later! Did some more reading on barefoot running - reasonably convinced that mid/for foot strike is better, but from what I read today it is more to do with running lightly and not 'pounding'. Going for a longer run tomorrow, will just do one mile for foot striking, then run normally while trying to be gentle!

Strength and Conditioning 5:00 [3]

Running 27:30 [3] 3.9 km (7:03 / km) +50m 6:38 / km

REVISION BREAK.
Tried my first proper 'forefoot' run - calves, feet and ankles feel like they've had a workout now, although I ran SO slowly. Not convinced still about this idea, but will see how it goes. Do think it could be good for foot and ankle strength? I don't know...

Running 35:00 [3]

Ran to Meanwood Park to meet the GOGA Orienteers, then around coaching a bit etc.
Just started 'Running with the Kenyans" - v.v. interesting and considering changing my running style to forefoot - also it's re-convinced me that I DO NOT need to buy expensive road shoes. Yay.
