Running long (Ennerdale Recce) 4:32:36 [2] 24.2 km (11:16 / km) +1360m 8:48 / km

Went round the rest of the Ennerdale. Mum dropped us off at Honister and we walked up to where we left off last time, then carried on round. Enjoyed it much more that last time, probably because the legs weren't already destroyed from the day before like they were last time. Shame that it was misty though, couldn't really see much so probably wasn't as useful in terms of memorising the route!
Leg held up pretty well, I was worried half way through as it went weird as we were going downhill and kept suddenly being really really painful. It sorted itself out by the end though, I could still feel it but it was all under control.
Same thing as last time though, I just feel like my quads on my bad leg aren't engaging at all... will see how they feel tomorrow compared to the other one.

Did a big stretching session to stretch my leg out - but then walking down to Grans (10 minutes) and was in absolute agony, hasn't been that bad since... I don't even know when!
Slightly worried about the long run tomorrow, but kind of hoping that it will help, we'll see. Definitely seeing the physio as soon as I'm back.

Quick morning run to stretch out after yesterday sitting working all day. Leg seized up again though SO ANNOYING will have to stretch loads to be ok for tomorrow - although doing loads of work again so not ideal.
Am going to go to the physio once I'm back in Leeds.

Running long (Ennerdale Recce) 3:48:26 [2] 20.4 km (11:12 / km) +950m 9:05 / km

Went round the first half (almost) of the Ennerdale - gorgeous weather and hardly any wind.
Good and useful day, very rough underfoot though and realised how horrendous I am at running over rocks/descending. Am going to totally overhaul my training plan tonight to try and tackle this - as I think it is as big/maybe bigger of an issue as the length of the race!
Anyway that was one thing, the other is we definitely under estimated how tired our legs were from yesterdays race - thighs had just completely gone and going downhill was just ridiculous, I was hobbling along the whole time unable to run properly.

But other than that, a good day! Tried out the nakd bars, like them but too chewy for eating on the go - not a race day food!
