Cross-country skiing (skating) 2:00:00 [1]

Really really nice skate ski on a great day in the Gats.

Note

I coached Ember Large in Edmonton, she's a great young skier and great athlete to coach. Also this deadly quote:

"I'm pretty stoked on my result in the sprint"

Running 45:00 [2]

Since I don't have a functioning sports watch right now, not sure of the length, but this sounds about right. Felt pretty good doing The Loop, but I'm sure the slow trails in the snow helped.

Cross-country skiing (Skating) 1:00:00 [3]

Well that sucked and I think maybe something is up? Was to be 30 sec intervals with 30 recovery along the parkway. Should be a good workout. Well felt find in the warm-up but lasted well under a third of the intervals and I was totally toast. Pulled the plug and skied back. Lack of sleep? De-hydrated? Just out of shape? Don't understand it.

Also, time to break out to good skate skis for the stiffness on the Parkways.

O thought of the night: Would Dave and Lise accept a trip to Europe to make an O movie for Best of Banff?

Cross-country skiing (Classic) 2:00:00 [2]

Classic ski from Asticou, really nice conditions, decent grooming (great on the parkways because of course the parkways are perfectly groomed).

Skied out to Pink Lake loop, ran into Dave Brownie and Ivanna and skied with them a while. Then had to hammer back on the parkway to Asticou as I was late. My god hammering on the Parkways is boring....

Ottawa AGM that night. I'll write more in a bit, but I was quite pleased with how my pumpkin pie turned out.
