Dropping E over at Clattering Brig for a bike with AB, so headed along to Drumtochty for a run. Had spotted the segment up Goyle Hill and decided to have a crack at it to give a bit of purpose / get some quality into a longer run. Even managed to set it up on my Garmin to simplify the nav up through the forest! From the top of Goyle picked up some trods across and down a forest ride before climbing onto Hill of Gothie. There any attempt at running was halted for a couple of km of tussocky heathery boggy slog, out towards Kerloch, before turning down a rough track to meet the main forest road below the wind turbines. Long trudge back through the forest after that, but good for me to cover some distance on harder tracks. Various niggles in hamstring and foot towards the back end, but managed to keep a steady enough pace up.
Pleased with this. Claimed my crown for Goyle Hill and another en route. Nice day too, although the temp never got above a few degrees, and parts of Drumtochty were really quite pleasant, although it's still waaay too much of a forest factory. Made the most of CB tea room whilst waiting for E to return :-)
