More new zones, wahoo!

Imagine my delight when, just short of the wooden bridge on the Darn Path en route to get a correct georef for the dodgy BenGunnsCave, my suggested zone for the bridge - plus a pile of others - appeared on the map in front of me! Huzzah!

Got a new fix for BGC, and waypointed three more on the Darn Path en route back to Dunblane. It all went a bit Pete Tong when I noticed Roger's red meeple appear on the map just as I was taking Ardleighton. I had to run - run! - along the road to get to Kippendavie, hoping that the hotel and two new turfs en route would slow Roger down enough for me to nab it. I then nipped around the play park so that he wouldn't see me, popping out too far up the hill towards BinCleaning for him to be able to catch me. He arrived just in time to get an assist, lol. Slapstick fun.

Headed home, to watch Rog bag all the new ones up the hill, only to be subsequently wiped out by Jase and sajl, with weegin heading over ParkOfKeir (must get some zones in there) to take BGC and all my other morning conquests. Rosco - you came to DBL a day too soon. And just wait until the ones I suggested on the west side of town appear on the map at some point! Lol.

Morning Walk checking zone placements. Having more fun researching new zones than actually taking them, but since I was there anyway... Just the one (AboutTurn) that needs a wee tweak. Took waypoints for 3 new ones, too. Had a lovely chat with Frank and Kate en route, in the middle of a snow shower!
Still having to give the bike a miss. Oh well, easy week.
Almost had to go get popcorn later whilst watching Simon H's wipeout of my zones being itself decimated by Louise, Ross & Fi, with Rup also making a showing - seeing off two interlopers from the Hillfoots, who were bagging loops in the centre of town, with Eilidh & Beccy also on the case. Carnage! :-D

Morning walk with turfs, something to do. Headed down into the town for a change, following in Janine's footsteps - and taking all of her turfs, oops - as it transpired! Another of those footwear dilemma days; slippy soles or crunchy dobs? Went for the latter. VERY crunchy.

Wanted to check out the last of my new zones, added late last night, at the top of the Pisgah climb; Roger had got there before me, of course, as with the other two. It does need moving a little - I'd had to make best guess because of the tree cover on the satellite image.

Paul Hammond's Meetup - Royal Pump Room 8.
Easy sesh, Paul and I dragging along the old geezers ;-).
It does bring home the fact that Zwift is just a game when I'm able to cruise along whilst the other guys - whom I wouldn't see for dust IRL - are all having to push out >300W to keep up. Guess I'd better stick to the virtual realm!!!

As per yesterday's observation, perhaps it's time to reintroduce the pre-breakfast walks. A light dusting of fresh snow overnight made the decision easy today!

TDZ Stage 5: Standard Ride - New York
So much for an easy ride. Saw a group ride had just started so jumped on and was instantly propelled to the lead pack, from which I was quickly dropped despite pushing >300W. Managed to regroup and settle into the chasing pack, all thoughts of an easy spin dashed from my mind. The group broke with 5km to go, so I had to slug it out from there. Knee just a bit flaky afterwards - combination of eve Pilates, morning walk and lunchtime hard ride was just too much. Ice / brufen / arnica gel / compression... if I could detach the kitchen sink I'd throw that at the knee as well
