Note
(rest day)

Planned adventure to the three Munros at the end of Glendessary ended in failure for the third time. The drive along Laggan road was brilliant at 9am but into ever-increasing clag, and by the time I got to the end of Loch Arkaig the cloud base was basically at ground level. Started out on the route up the path but then the rain started, 4 hours earlier than predicted, and I decided that there was no point. Was out for a couple of hours and visited a bothy I haven't been to for 25 years - A'Chuil. In the end, it was probably wise, because my knee was already complaining.

Cycling (Turbo Trainer) 33:46 intensity: (2:55 @0) + (4:47 @1) + (9:11 @2) + (16:08 @3) + (45 @4) 20.09 km (35.7 kph) +137m

Back on Zwift again. Chain gangs "out" this morning! Once again unsuccessful with the whole "easy spin" thing. TRIMP 50.5.

Cycling (Turbo trainer) 30:06 intensity: (3:34 @0) + (1:09 @1) + (13:52 @2) + (11:17 @3) + (14 @4) 17.31 km (34.5 kph) +136m
ahr:133 max:151 shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

First time trying out Zwift with the turbo. "Easy spin", the physio said. Oops! Great training tool, though; might even make turbo sessions bearable. TRIMP 44.6.

Note
(injured)

Physio for my L knee. Dodgy meniscus. Strong calves & quads, cr*p hamstrings. No running or elliptical/Elliptigo for a fortnight! Swimming and short, easy spinning will have to do. Short term pain for long term gain yadayadayada

Running (Trail run) 37:09 intensity: (50 @0) + (1:44 @1) + (16:06 @2) + (18:29 @3) 6.23 km (5:58 / km) +167m 5:15 / km
ahr:137 max:148 shoes: Salomon Fellraiser 2016

The easiest of easy runs - feeling pretty drained - but my knee was still swollen afterwards. Muddy and chilly; winter is coming! First time for the gloves and helly this autumn. TRIMP 60.2.

OK, have admitted defeat and am going to the physio on Weds for my cr*ppy knee. In the meantime, some fake running at the gym, with a nice video of the outdoors to "help".

Strength training 11:58 intensity: (10:08 @0) + (1:50 @1)
ahr:107 max:119

Not much time, threw some weights around before dashing off to my meeting.

Easy on the circuits tonight - covering my knee and generally just dog tired. Weight lowest for a long time - need to eat some more pies.
