Busy doing nothing all day, just had an hour to get out - knees not up for a run, so, went for a spin. Steady into the wind out to Braco, then went for it on the way back. 22 minutes is OK on 35c tyres. Wish I'd tried harder on the way out, I'd have broken 50 for the return today! TRIMP 85.9.

C59: Ben Tirran. Part of my compensation package for assisting in a bat watch at Glen Doll ranger station on our "sans enfants" free night!

Unpromising start, heading up from the Glen Clova hotel into blanket cloud at 500m, but struck it lucky when the cloud began clearing out as we passed the top of the crags above Loch Brandy. Easy walking over soft ground to Ben Tirran, then pretty much straight home across country from there, spurning the new, huge, access tracks that didn't go quite the way we wanted them to. Good way to burn off the heavy metal cooked breakfast.

There's nothing like a lunchtime run up Dumyat to blow away the work stress. Gorgeous - if only all lunch breaks were like this.
Steady/easy jaunt, particularly so on the descent so as not to aggravate things. After two weeks of running in (nearly worn out) IRocs, running in the Hokas today felt like having springy cushions attached to my feet. Remarkable shoes. TRIMP 129.4.

Back on the Elliptigo. Gorgeously hot and sunny, but with a strong N'ly that made for a challenge on the way out. Kept things easy so as not to stress the back, which is being held in check by pills (rattle rattle). TRIMP 159.8.
