MTB from Linn of Dee, past Derry Lodge, to start of run. Easy pace.
My old banger Rock Hopper AFS, purchased from the bike shop in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Japan, where I lived for a year in 1997, is still going strong. The forks went a decade ago but it still keeps rolling along - a bit like its owner. TRIMP 25.4.
Using the wrist-based HR sensor, so readings are a bit wonky.

Cheeky Munro bag, #275 - Beinn Mheadhoin, slap bang in the middle of the Cairngorms. 2h25 running time.
I was supposed to be away on my annual old farts motorbike weekend, but one of my geriatic co-bikers came down with a UTI (it'll be arthritis next) so I ended up with an unexpectedly free weekend. Since Beccy hadn't lined any duties up for me, I was given a last minute pass for the day, which I duly grabbed, albeit too late to try for the 4 north of Ben Alder. So off it was to the Linn of Dee to bag my last Cairngorm, the one slap bang in the middle and a git to get to from any direction.
Cycling in helped keep the time on my feet sensible, but it was still a fair old run, so I set a very easy pace. The path lower down the valley was smooth going, but things got rockier the closer I got to the hill and mins/km suffered accordingly. That said, I was pleased to be able to "run" all the way bar the steep wee pull up from Loch Etchachan. It was a warm (22C) and muggy day, so I sweated buckets, and only had my lunch at 3:30, at the top - whoops. Maybe that's partly why I was flagging a little by the time I got back to the bike. The Hoka Mafates were great, although both my foot pads were pretty hot and sore after 15km.
Nine to go!! TRIMP 300.3.

Geriatric MTB bimble back to Linn of Dee. Being wussy and tired, stopping on the very few difficult bits. TRIMP 28.4.
Wee lunchtime spin out from work on the banger bike. The problem with keeping an 'old' bike at the office is that it doesn't receive the TLC or, indeed, basic maintenance that it needs. So it was that today's ride was without gears 6, 7 and 8, alas, and the air, whilst nicely fresh, was frequently coloured blue. TRIMP 82.2..
Gym (Elliptical) 20:02 2.64 km (7:35 / km) ahr:153 max:168
Short, hard session on the Elliptical. TRIMP 49.5.
Gym (Cross-over) 10:02 1.54 km (6:31 / km) ahr:148 max:157
Intended a similarly hard blast on the cross-over, but quickly felt a niggle behind my left knee, so dialled back the resistance and concentrated on speed. TRIMP 22.1.

Stretch, then core, rebound, ropes and 3x 'bells. Really must get Bob to run me through Queenax options.
