One of those days when it was difficult to find a window to get out, but I was glad that I did, even if just for a short jaunt. End of quite an easy week. TRIMP 84.8.

Nice & easy spin out on the roadie to remind my back (and knee) what it is to ride a drop-handle bike with SPDs. Hoped that the rain would stay away long enough to allow me to cycle roughly the same distance as a commute to work - it did, just! Felt good, legs strong at the easy pace; back sore for a while after the 1hr mark and again on and off after the 1h30 mark. Would have need to get off and stretch had I been in the saddle for much longer. A quick stretch on the inversion table afterwards worked wonders. TRIMP 188.9

WEE at Mine Woods - Green. Legs surprisingly dead today but, I had no time to warm up, so the first 15 minutes on the course were pretty slow before I finally got moving. Only one miss - a low boulder hidden in the veg. I contoured to it but just missed it and went past, and had to double back. Found the paths on the map almost impossible to read when in the wood!
Had hoped to run the sprint, too, but I had to head home to do the Rainbows pick-ups. TRIMP 73.1.

Pilates but no time for circuits today - we were a bit late starting and I needed to get away before 7:30, alas. Feeling absolutely fine after yesterday's tarmac travails, though, I'm very glad to say.
