Just to give me a bit more direction, I ran the JEC 2010 long distance in Tentsmuir. I wasn't pushing very hard but all the same I hope the forest has got slower since I ran it in 64 that time.. Legs a bit tired in terrain today and I made more maverick path routes as it went on.

Braids XC

First lap plan was to stay with Spongey, which I did. We had a bit of a gap with the leader (Lawler?) over the hill the first time but it all came together by the end of the first lap. I started to tap out a rhythm going in to the second lap, then Coombs came up and blew the field apart with a big dig. Only me him and Spongey left. Coombs dropped off as we neared the top and then Spongey got a couple of meters over the top. He destroyed any hopes I had of pulling it back with a really strong mile or so off the hill and then it was a case of suffering it in.
