Not keen before starting but enjoyed it the whole way. Ran hard but not flat out and was generally pretty good at finding the controls but didn't always get there in the most efficient manner.

Same shoes, loose from the start, no problems. I did however get a blister on that foot from the loose shoes. I refrained from A&E though.
