orienteering 1:04:01 [3]

Down visiting Valerie so I could pick up some boxes of paperwork from Kris that I need for doing memberships and other tasks for OUSA. Glad it was all pre-arranged since I'm sure the rain would have deterred me from going down just for the day. Since I was down there and I like Fountainhead I did the Brown course. I really enjoyed up through #9 with only a few small bobbles, but messed up near the end when it was just trails and I totally lost focus and let my mind start to wander and got confused about where I was on the trail. Duh. Oh well. Very glad I got out.

And then the long drive home which actually wasn't too bad for a change.

1/2 mile jog on the drive with 4 short (100 paces) jogs on the uphill trail home. Pleasantly surprised to find I was moving faster on each section (except getting down to the drive) than a week ago.

Meadow loop with Sandy. Started at just a few minutes before 5 and it was light enough for almost the whole thing which I wasn't expecting!

Session with Kelly.

I was having some calf pain - sort of like shin splints but more on the sides of my calves - and a little bit in my feet as well, so I started doing some heel drops on the stairs and really stretching out my calves and feet and working my feet. My calves and feet feel a whole lot better but during today's session, the lower part of my hamstrings (right near the knee) kept cramping up. I wonder if the two are related.
