10 AM

Run 1:22:08 [3] 12.15 km (6:46 / km)

Get the run in earlier - more likely to happen.
Family went off to support the marathon, I headed to Glen Road, down the rhodey path, Darn walk to B of A - watched the saddos for a bit then over the river up to the trig point and through all the bluebell woods back to railway bridge down to pipe bridge, back up rhodey path and home from there.
Feeling tired from a bender on Friday night and right calf ready to explode but all OK.

Note

A cold and wet day and having spent quite a lot labouring in the garden I just couldnae be arsed later on. ;-(

Dumyat quad track from shoulder x 2. Helicopter busy on main track so glad to stick to softer path. Windy and wet at times. Weary on 2nd climb but ground it out. Tick.
3 PM

Run 30:00 [2]

Newton PS Running club. Up to the back woods for a relay 2-loop terrain interval session. The kids absolutely bloody loved it! :-). I'm knackered.

Intervals 1:10:00 [4] 10.4 km (6:44 / km) +293m 5:54 / km

First training session with someone else this year!
Stirling uni - Hermitage - Hills with Jon X. A bit nervous about this as I've run on my own for most of the year, didn't want to let anyone down. So, quite pleased to see I wasn't too far off my old pace and blatant to see that training as a group is a far better workout than training on your own!

Decent warm up then 4 sets:
1:45, 58
1:43, 59
1:46, 59
1:45, 58

Dry wretching by the end - absolutely gutting ourselves on these efforts. Painful during, but felt great to have done them. Looking forward to next week's session already! :-)
