Terrain (Grass) 55:00 [2]

Four School Barefoot Loop. Truly sublime to be running on cold, wet grass in July. Unfortunately, I did catch my big toe on some of the longer grass and jammed it a bit. I don’t think it’s serious, but I’ll probably stick to shoes and roads for a few days to be sure.

shoes: Excite 4

Was game for the run but couldn’t come up with an inspiring route. Just headed south, then east until it seemed like time to head back north.

Legs are starting to get soft from yesterday. No surprise there. Toe complained a lot for a mile or two, then either loosened up or my brain just turned it off. Temps are returning to normal (mid-90’s).

Spent some time jogging around the Duchesne campus looking for a water fountain. Never found one, but there was a hose faucet that wasn't locked, so I got some out of that. They must have 20-30 acres of athletic fields there. That's over $10 million for the land alone. Why would invest that kind of money in athletic fields in St. Louis and not put in a water fountain?
