Had a nice day out exploring Mulligans Flat and Gundaroo with the fam, then went to Bunnings for a toilet washer (rock and roll) so snuck in a quick run around Urambi before it got dark. Felt ok.

A lap of Taylor. Gracie persuaded me to make something of it, which I sort of did - a 13min effort on the singletrack around the back, but the intended effort up the main track to the summit got aborted when my legs gave up. Meh.

Today was Gracie's birthday and it reminded me of Christmases of old: not working on a Friday, very cold and grey, early morning longish run, then some presents (albeit not mine this time) and lots and lots of food. The run was up Majura and Ainslie. Kept plodding ok but not feeling great on the ups.

After spending almost the entire day shopping due to the non-uniform distribution of birthdays in my family I finally got out for a nice loop on Cooleman. Felt quite good and new shoes added to the bounciness. Nippy.

Steady flattish plod from home around Taylor, Farrer and Isaacs. My cold has gone but, as I expected, I was feeling very ordinary in the aftermath. Kept going ok and good to get a reasonable number of miles into the legs.

Running a few legs at Glendale to try to gauge speed/runnability for the race. It won't be easy getting winning times right because half of the map is very fast and the other half of the map, well, isn't. Would have run for a bit longer but still feeling a bit rubbish from my cold.

Taping some sites down at Glendale for the ACT Long Champs (estimate of running time). Found a cool lost world of massive rocks that I doubt have been orienteered through for some time...
