orienteer 38:38 [3] 3.9 km (9:54 / km) +10m 9:47 / km

Re-run of the Arboretum event from June. I wanted to be clean today, and keep moving. I did well at moving. One small bobble on 10. Then, as I was approaching 15, I saw that I could possibly break 39 minutes (for 10 min/k). So I pushed really hard.

Too hard. I never saw 16. Doh!

cycle 1:00:00 [2]

Mike and I both knocked off work a bit early today, so we went for a nice bike ride together. I felt I was pushing harder than last time, Mike felt it was easier. Was he right because his HR was lower? Or was it cooler, so his HR was not a good guide? Was I right, that the perceived effort was harder, but I was tired and an easy effort felt hard?

run/walk 30:00 [3]

Did a little memory O on west campus. I also ran as fast as I could between controls. Would stop to catch my breath, spend a few seconds looking at the map, then take off again.

run/walk 1:30:00 [3] 8.49 km (10:36 / km) +109m 9:58 / km

Trails at Clinton. It sprinkled off and on on my way out, but rained pretty much the whole way back. Heavy tree cover meant I didn't get too wet and the trails stayed firm
