Lehardy rapids

The weather changed from rain to snow! There were about 2 inches on the ground when we woke up this morning, very pretty.

We stopped at the Lehardy rapids again. We stopped last night, and Mike got out in the rain, but I stayed in the car. I had enough rain yesterday, and I was tired.

Mike saw a lot of birds here. This was our first trip after he renewed his birdwatching hobby. We used to stop to take pictures on our hikes; now we stopped to take pictures and watch birds. No problem, just different.

Mud Volcano

Stopped here again. There happened to be a range talk when we were there, so I tagged along with him for a while.

Canyon to Sublime

A very nice hike along the rim of the Grand Canyo of the Yellowstone. It was pretty in the snow (which was melting fast). We saw a few people on the way out, and lots more on the way back. Artist's Point was crowded. Time to move on.

We decided to drive on towards Tower, even though the ranger said we would need chains to cross the pass. In fact, the road was dry the whole way, no problems at all.
