Darton from home along the TPT. This felt like a long way, I think the longest since the Alps. To avoid it becoming a super-long plod I included 3x15 mins harder pace and tried to keep the pace solid in general. Normal niggles niggled for the first hour or so but eased off to be replaced by new niggles (R hip flexor, L quads) and was generally quite knackered by the end. Good one to get in the bag but will probably pay a price tomorrow.

Took the chance for a ride on a lovely spring day. Owler Bar, Barlow, back over to Owler, back via Eccy Road. Felt OK on the bike after a long lay-off and enjoyed the change.

Los Cristianos up to Arona on a wing and a prayer. Found a nice quiet swichbax road to take me up the hill, ventured out along an abandoned water duct along the side of a mountain, got a bit stuck in some terracing then lucked out by finding a downhill mountainbike trail most of the way back down the hill. Felt surprisingly good for this one, but ready to leave the hard rocky trails behind for some mud.

Planned some hill reps, but once I hit the climb my legs just wouldn't carry me any faster, so it turned into a grid to the top. Ran 3 laps of the summit at a faster pace then legged it back down. Knackered today!
