East trot over to the start and then checking out the first section of road. Not feeling too bad and another absolute stunner of a day.

Ras y Moelwyn.
This was great, helped by the amazing weather and the views from the tops but also a really fun route and amazing terrain. Most the climbs were on good trails but the downs were soft and boggy (even in this weather). Bit of a trek in and out of the town for the start and finish but overall the course was just really nice.

Started, as traditional, quite slowly and was passed by a few on the flat run out and past the lake, however got all those places back when it got steep, up to second where I stayed for the rest of the race. Third got close a few times, especially on the downhills (which I was taking easy) bit got away each time on the next up. Pushed a bit harder on the last descent and could see the leader taking a bad line, but never got closer than a about a minute.

Great day out and my legs felt pretty good, not even all that tired at the end - guess that's the advantage of doing fell races more regularly. Will have to encourage a few more MDC members up to do this next year.
