Climbing 30:00 [1]

Top rope climbing at The Peak with Hannah Inman (quite a little machine), quite a small wall but enough to keep me busy. First time doing proper top rope climbing and using auto-belay (latter quite scary!). Struggled with the endurance as climbs so much longer, but much less physical, than bouldering. Fun and great to fit in.

Run - Trail warm up/down 10:27 [1] 1.1 km (9:28 / km)

Too the start with the rest of the runners.
8 PM

Run - Orienteering race 1:36:39 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (1:00:00 @3) + (16:39 @4) 11.56 km (8:22 / km) +433m 7:02 / km
shoes: VJ Falcons 11

Dark Thistle, Doon Hill and Fairy Knowe, 9.7km.
This was tough, but hugely enjoyable and great to do a night race in some real terrain. Started slow bu found myself at the front at #3 (don't know how), then courses split and was with Spongy and some kid. Completely messed up #5 (3 minutes?) but found two other kids (actually students, but they looked dead young!).

Did my own thing from then on, but kept seeing the others (I was taking straighter routes but not running as fast (trying to save energy for Sunday). Pretty clean for a large part of the course until the final butterfly, where several small misses were annoying. Somehow ended up third, which was a surprise considering the strength of the field and the slow pace I was running at. But it was the type of stuff I enjoy. Great way to spend a night.
9 PM

Run - Road 8:50 [1] 0.97 km (9:06 / km) +5m 8:53 / km
shoes: VJ Falcons 11

Back to the cars from the finish. GPS implies that I was a bit more keen (Bradc was driving if (when...) the speed limit was broken!).
