Orienteering (Sprint) 2:00:00 [4] 8.0 km (15:00 / km)

SEJS sprint training at Haberdashers Aske's Boy's School: yeah, I know, a mouthful. Usual SEJS exercises focusing on different aspects of sprint:
Quick decision making, not getting distracted, route choices, line, then a sprint race at the end. Alex F & I got the exact same time doing the same course, head to head. Felt good apart from the heat but the sprinklers were out so it was a nice day all in all.

Nice run, only getting another annoying stitch for most of the course.

Orienteering race 44:27 [4] 6.2 km (7:10 / km)

YBT Final - Arrow Park, Redditch. Green, 6th.
Pretty disappointed with my race today. I felt pretty terrible for the whole thing, suffering from hay fever and dehydration which I frankly could have prevented. I should have prepared better for the race, and I probably spent too much time in the sun beforehand. Course was in a very simple area, but the vegetation and map accuracy were fairly horrendous as well. I lost around 3-4 mins from navigational errors and even more time from feeling physically terrible. All in all, a race to learn from - then bin & move on.
