slept:8.0 weight:111.7lbs shoes: Safire

MTB ride with the weekly Dirty Bismarck group -- mostly on dirt roads and bike paths this time, since the local trails are a mud-fest right now.

Great fun until I got a flat tire... I know how to change bike tires, and I had all the necessary stuff with me, but I've never changed a tubeless tire before. I've always assumed I could just throw in a regular tube and be on my way -- but I couldn't figure out what to do with the special tubeless valve stem. I was afraid that forcibly removing it (in order to insert the tube) would wreck the tubeless setup, so I hailed a Lyft -- which thankfully happened to be a large 4Runner that could fit my bike in the back, and he was only three minutes away.

I guess I'm glad this happened when I wasn't too far from home, rather than out in the middle of nowhere...

Now off to watch some Stan's videos to figure out how to do the tubeless setup myself...long overdue, anyway.
