Test run of a gold mining sprint course with Ilka. Ditch that course and enter remapping phase.

Kooyoora event. On the edge of the rocks and in the deep gullies of Hope Creek. The event polarised opinion it seems. Some were disappointed. Some really enjoyed the event. I suspect that you were more likely to enjoy the course setting of you were over 55 years of age.
Spiked what looked to be the dangerous leg to 4. New compass a success. Then was lax on the much easier leg from 7-8. Used the compass when there were obvious intermediate features I ignored. Lost 7.30 as consequence. Almost gave Julie another victory over me. Only saved by a match race in the second half with a much younger orienteer.

Gateway Park. Work phone call half way that lasted 22 minutes. Was very cold by the end of the call.
