Run 1:30:00 [3] 14.2 km (6:20 / km)

Headed down from where we're staying (a very 1970s establishment on the hill in South Launceston) to link up with Louise, Kirsten and John (Yelena's partner) at the Cataract Gorge. I think this is the first time I've been up the gorge as far as Duck Reach - a bit up and down and a bit rough at times but a nice spot to run (would be fun to see it in flood). Louise still runs well - I certainly didn't feel as if she was holding me back. Achilles a bit sore on a couple of the sharper climbs, but OK on the grind back up at the end (and had the energy for a lap of the motel to get up to 90).

As we expected, the service was an impressive celebration of Bruce's life - went on for two hours but I don't think anyone really noticed. Quite a number of familiar faces spotted in person, and quite a lot of familiar names in the hall under 'Orienteering' on the board listing sport captains (for different reasons, there were also a few I recognised under 'Cricket', although none under 'Football').
