Rogaine 5:55:00 [2] 28.0 km (12:41 / km)

Not sure of the worth of adding a new activity that I may not do again.

It's been a long time running
'Cause I had some things to see
I had to meet some people
Who were there to believe in me

I'm taking all that struggle
Reminds me what I'm fighting for
I'm living it up, I ain't gonna stop
Till I make that final score

And I'll keep running as fast as I can
I'll keep running
I won't stop, I won't stop, no no

Hey now, if you push me down I'll get up again
Hey now, if you let me drown I'll swim like a champion
I'm sure there'll be good times, there'll be bad time
But I don't care 'cause I'm running on air
(Running, running) Yeah

Oh no, wait. That was Austria's Eurovision entry. Jayne and I also had some good times and bad times. Getting a grid north map was a bad time. Many of the tracks/roads not being on the map was a bad time. Starting already with blisters from dancing in gumboots at our work karaoke was a bad time. Being out in the bush on a lovely day was a good time.

We made a LOT of mistakes, including getting completely confused once. Partly due to not being able to take a bearing (although we did learn the tip afterwards to just draw magnetic north lines on) and partly due to not knowing what gullies etc. were mapped. But according to the fellows who got the same score as us and had time to sit down for a cuppa you are meant to take bearings and pace count.

Got well beaten by Thor and another Clare, but seemed to still do ok overall. Now I've got blisters on my heels as well as my toes.
