Road Race race 51:48 [5] 10.07 km (5:09 / km)

Stirling 10 K. I was expecting it to be tough, and it was. Lacking zip from the start, but I reached 5 K in less than 25 minutes before I really started to flag. The 50 minute pacer flew past me at about 7.5 km, and then I just had to grind it out to the end. Official result 380/527 in 51:48.

Walk 38:54 [1] 1.95 km (20:00 / km) +48m 17:48 / km

Family Walk.

Pollok parkrun #632. Steady effort on a lovely sunny morning. Overtaken by Alice (25:32) a third of the way round the second lap. Official result 87/240 in 26:18. A bit disappointed not to be quicker than on my last visit a couple of weeks ago (26:20), but lost focus towards the end when I started thinking about a maths problem!

CLYDE Terrain Run. The Whangie anti-clockwise with Klaas, Emma and Pippin. Wet underfoot, and misty higher up, but we just managed to avoid the rain. A good workout, especially for Emma and Pippin (who both did extra distance and climb).

Orienteering 57:23 [3] 7.45 km (7:42 / km) +23m 7:36 / km
(injured)

Garscube MapRun, Long Course (4.1 km) without control flags in 36:32 (official), plus some gentle warm up and warm down and a false start when control 1 didn't register the first time (it worked fine the second time). Made more mistakes than I expected, including two wobbles in and back out of the out-of-bounds on leg 3-4 and turning the wrong way when I got onto the road on leg 9-10. Muddy, sweaty and slightly bloody at the end, i.e. a good workout on a slightly damp evening.

Anti-clockwise loop to Lennoxtown, Fintry, Balfron (a diversion as the direct route to Killearn was shut), Killearn, Dumgoyne and back to Strathblane on a warm late afternoon "with" Emma (who shot off but then went past me again in Balfon after taking a longer diversion). Tired towards the end, and definitely earned my pint in the pub afterwards!
