QOC local event at Wheaton.
Valerie graciously agreed to watch Inara while I ran a course. So after a playdate and gymnastics class in the morning (gymnastics for 2-year-olds is one of the more ridiculous things I've seen), I made it to Wheaton. Besides Inara peeing on my O-shoes, everything else went smoothly, and I managed to get out on Chris' well-designed red course, the longest available.
I was pretty jittery in my orienteering, losing about 3 minutes, mostly in 15- and 20-second mistakes, plus a minute on 10 when I ran to 15 (100m away) despite telling myself that I was likely to see 15 first. Speed felt decent, so that's a good sign. Fun to get out into the woods!
