Note
ISOM2017 came out recently. A few interesting things to note. They seem fairly set on 1:15000 being the standard map scale which I find a bit disappointing. I would have liked to have seen a clause saying something along the lines of "in complex terrain, a map scale which improves legibility should be used" but I can't see anything to that effect in the document. I liked this bit though, seems like a bit of an admission that bigger scales (1:10000) improve legibility in complex terrain: "1:10000 is always recommended for the youngest age groups where the capacity of reading complex maps is not fully developed."
They seem overly worried about big pieces of paper, and not worried enough about how easy it is to read the map. I think they should get the hint when half of the elite field is running around with magnifying glasses on their compasses.

Just a nice easy run between rain showers. Happy to have my lungs back and not be wheezing and dizzy on easy runs! And my hips seems to have responded well to the dry needling I received on friday although I wouldn't describe it as completely painless by any stretch.
