MLS Army Brown, Sidbury hill (as Caddihoe day 2), 8.2k / 250m
Note: slept on floor last night, as lower back so painful. Back bad this morning but eased, & during race, back was a lot better than at BOK run last night.
Good day/race. no 1 messy- brambles etc; & forgot to tape laces so had to stop twice and triple-re-tie shoe laces.
Control pick in south of area was great - no errors - the tricky site from CChase was reused but from a 90 degree different angle, was a piece of piss.
Oh - EMIT air - 2 events in 4 days - is awesome. loving those flat panels WITH MARKERS HANGING BELOW THEM. one control was given away to me not by a beep, but by seeing a woman's wrist flashing! yes really!
Detailed area on top of hill was awesome, as I'd spent about 20 mins here in September so pretty much recognised the place, and spiked all the controls.
Nearly strangled by a thorny tendril near finish, swore & felt my neck ripping.
Was winning when i left but R Barrett still to come. Major Buchanan had clearly buggered up no 18.
3rd:

Splits. was ahead of RB at last control. RMawer's run in time was not physically possible. Don't understand. . Still left him 4 seconds short though ;-)
