16-yr-old killed by predatory black bear during a mountain climbing race yesterday near Anchorage. Incredibly sad and unfortunate and improbable. Dan wants to quit ARCT O Club BOD to limit our personal liability risk. We'll be leading a charge to 'up' our club's risk management (which we were just about to do anyway). I'm glad to have time to work on this.
