Course race 26:49 [4] 3.7 km (7:15 / km)
shoes: Falcon Spikes

CSU US Indi. Champs., Sprint. 2.9 km. Speed was good, made a bobble on 2 (lost in bare rock detail) and 12 (drifted north, confused by features until I re-oriented). Big mistake was on 15, I let excitement cloud my judgment and did not have a good attack point- ran by within about 15 meters of the control. Used shortcuts through open woods corridors effectively through the rest of the race, but the mistake at 15 was too large to recover from.

BMB run. Did not toss cookies- unusual for this kind of long run. Hydrated with vitalyte beforehand. Moderate reflux at one point, mostly good. Turkey Club sandwich, cheese & crackers.
