Ive had an entry to the westminster mile for a while and it has always been a race I have wanted to do for ages. I had thoughs about dropping out because my last 5 weeks traiining has been pretty pathetic.

I decided to go and enjoy it and just see what happenes, it was good, one of the best and fun races I have ever done and I would put it up there with the Attanger Spitz Austrian mile and IFAM Odergem Belgium race - amust must do again and 200% I am coming back next year to race it. Now I know the course and how it all works im going to get into shape for this next year and see how I can do

Great fun and good getting to know all the other guys

WU with the guys - great fun to be able to chat and talk with some of the best 1500m runners in the country. The race was stacked and so deep - an incredible feild to be racing in and I can only think of a few names that were missing from the top GB guys at the moment

Westminster Mile - 19th

I knew going into the race I was just going to enjoy it given the last 5 weeks. An incredible race and a must do again, the pace was not slow to start with and I don't know why there was a pace maker in a Championship race as no one went with him... (the top guys could have broke 4' but they were just going for the win)

I was in the mix at 800m and it all got a bit aggressive round one of teh bends and cones every where. I was boxed in and dropped back a bit to keep put of trouble, then I planned to move up affter the corner.

I rounded the corner towards the back and coming out of it the whole packe just put their foot down and all of a sudden I was caught out and way off the back! I had missed the break again... I was trying to work hard and I deffo slowed a lot, I didn't have the top end speed to push on and lost a lot of time on the second 800m. Probably not suprised given I have done not much sessns recently. I finished strong and managed to catch Clutterbuck and Marshal on the line but I was way donw on the time and 4:19 was pretty rubish.

A good season opening fast race and now back to hard training else I risk throwing the whole season away. Have a hard session planned on tuesday of: 3x (1km,300m,300m,300m) so I'll see how that goes

A good first race and it always takes a few races to open up with before I hit good form
