Running (commute) 40:00 [3] 7.0 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: saucony kinvara white

Jogged into work as I'd left two bikes there overnight. I was deep into my 4th game of Jenga at a work function yesterday arvo when I got the call that the other two family members were lockedo ut of the house, with one of them in need of a nappy, stat. So I left the venue without returning to work. no ride home yesterday and I felt poorly for it.
But the run this morning was good! Never pushing, and slowly changing my style to a more rearward landing, which is going well.
I tried a friends aeropress coffee maker this morning. Its a good thing! But I'm not sure if I can really taste much difference between it and the standard cofffee I get out of my little pour over system.
I'm thinking about the tough mudder at Phillip Island.

Road Cycling 1:00:00 [3]

Easy, easy roll with Steve on his trucker. Finished so early that the usual cafe wasn't even open when we got there. So it was to Mario's and the french toast was excellent! Outside in the sun, long chats... wonderful morning.
I rode down LaTrobe street this morning instead of Lonsdale. It has a bkie lane and is now a bonafide death trap. One street away from the lawa nd order of Lonsdale, its absolute choas up there! Cars parked across the bike lane, massive potholes, peds that wander onto the road at any moment. Ill be back on Lonsdale tomorrow.

Cycle commute 40:00 [3] 14.0 km (2:51 / km)

On the GT today, which felt pretty good! Biggest pedal strike of my life on the way home. The pedals are the touring type ones, with a nice fat platform on one side, and spd on the other. I was on the spd side and pedalled through one of my favourite corners only to get launched by the pedal and jumped a long way to my left. The resulting gouge on the platform is impressive.

Swimming 1:04:00 [5] 1.0 km (1:04:00 / km)
shoes: saucony kinvara black

I pushed to see where I am at with the "swim a kilometer at lunch and be back at my desk in an hour" challenge. Turns out i'm not far off. 64 minutes, as close as I can tell (I really need a watch for Christmas) and I was pretty close to full gas the whole time. I think I can easily take the time out of the shower and stretching time, but I dont want to. I need to get some splits to make this write-up more interesting. I broke the swim into 2 x 200m and 2 x 300m so that I could keep count and not get bored. It was a great day for an outdoor swim, and North Melbourne continues to be nice and quiet at lunch times. The run is about 1600m each way, with a gentle rise at the pool end... makes for a nice wake up for the calves that lay dormant throughout the swim.

Cycle commute 20:00 [3] 7.0 km (2:51 / km)

FINALLY a roadie complimented me on my exemplary cadence this morning. He was a hard looking gentleman from Templestowe.

Cycle commute 40:00 [3]

Just didnt have the usual punch today... Not sure if it was yesterday's long day, but feeling a little flat

Running 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: saucony kinvara white

MFR monday night run from Dion's place. Glorious night for a run, and it was a shame to miss the dinner! Througout the run "I can hear music" gradually replaced "Do it again" as my Beach boys song on repeat. Both are so, sooooo good! Impossible for me to not smile when I think about either
