Since I opted out of the second training yesterday, I did it this morning in lieu of the local meet and picked up the streamers. The reason for sitting out was that I did not want to push it on my still recovering foot and I was super tired from driving.
The training was TG's multi-technique exercise. My mind was hazy for majority of it. I was off on my compass, each time veering left, even when correcting. Sigh. Got totally lost on the contour section, the missing road throwing me off. Ok on corridor. Solid on control pick.

Foot was slightly sore afterwards but no damage added.

QOC Training Camp

First training - Route Choice Exercise with a partner. My buddy was a kid, named Josh, from the Intermediate group that Boris instructed my mom and I to coach. He was decent but sloppy so I had to wait for some time at almost every control. I do like coaching young boys; they seem to be more receptive to feedback.

Night-O!

Well, this didn't really turn out well for me. Major error was not charging the batteries on my headlamp. Light started fading as I proceeded on my course and towards the end it offered no help whatsoever. I abandoned my course on #11, which I heard was rather difficult to find in the green. Also made a mistake on #5, was so close but got confused by the reentrants and green. The upside for this adventure was that the stars where really pretty.

Left foot is feeling better, and so I braved an easy run this morning. Stayed on the turf at the stadium, imagined what it would be like to be a football player.. Foot was a bit sore afterwards but seems to Ok, def. not worse.
