Orienteering 1:18:00 [3] **** 7.0 km (11:09 / km) +250m 9:27 / km
shoes: Pytho Ice Bug

Sebago map Red course, cold and windy day. Enjoyed the woods and the course today, had some problems with a few controls and got really tired towards the end. Even when blueberry bushes are just twigs, they still slow me down and cause me much trouble. And to continue with the complaining, I got sick.

Cross Training 1:10:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (20:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) + (30:00 @4)

Got sucked in to going to a sports conditioning class at my school gym and boy, did I pay for it! Total boot camp style with one male trainer giving orders to drop down and do push-ups upon blowing his wistle to four females. I was cracking up for the first five minutes or so but quickly forgot the laughter when the intensity increased, quite dramatically I might add. My body hated me for this work-out. I will come back though ;)

Running 49:00 intensity: (29:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) *
shoes: Puma narabota

fartlek session at Mills Res. park, went well for the most part: the rain didn't bother me too much but towards the end my calves and shins were really sore. I'm averaging the fartlek to level 3 intensity.

same run in N. Caldwell as last week, same time, gorgeous weather..
The hill seemed easier today, despite the sore calves.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [1]

not too much before long course, need to find better preparation of my sleepy head.

Orienteering 1:12:04 [3] *** 8.1 km (8:54 / km)
shoes: Puma narabota

Semi-long Red course proved to be satisfying, physically challenging, and a very good training overall. Not too many mistakes, #3 being the biggest, lost roughly 2 minutes by running high and left past the control. Had some decent flow from 4 to 13 but lacking focus in the beginning and getting mentally and physically tired towards the end, esp. in the last middle-style / forest-sprint loop. Winner on red was 63 minutes, Sam - 65 minutes.
